Volcano ('Vica 21'®)

Miscanthus sinensis Volcano ('Vica 21'®) is a vigorous ornamental grass with an explosive blooming display. With moderate nitrogen use, the plant remains compact, featuring dense flower spikes that emerge lower above the foliage. Its growth habit varies from upright to a rounded shape, with elegantly arching leaves. From late August, dark, deep red flower plumes appear, retaining their color for weeks before becoming more feathery. In autumn, the foliage takes on stunning seasonal hues. This hardy plant reaches a height of 80–100 cm, making it ideal for sunny locations, borders, and container planting.
